The JWW Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging gaps in welding and welding-related industries for male and female youth. Our mission is to educate, train, and raise awareness for the youth in these industries. Through our hands-on educational programs and investment in educational infrastructure, we aim to address the shortage of skilled young professionals.



Throughout the years, the Joe Williams Welding Foundation has cultivated valuable partnerships and implemented programs that are currently making a significant, positive impact on workforce development and skill-based careers, particularly within the welding and welding-related industries. We take great pride in our collaborative endeavors to raise awareness and reshape perceptions, all aimed at fostering, nurturing, training, and educating individuals in skilled trades. Our unwavering mission has consistently revolved around empowering the upcoming generation of skilled workers, and we remain committed to exploring novel and innovative avenues to fulfill this objective.

WELDING THEORY
Students acquire essential practical skills and knowledge critical to their success in the field. They will learn how to operate welding equipment safely and effectively, understanding various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG,
stick welding and blueprint articulation.
HANDS ON TRAINING
As welding inherently involves risks, and students learn to prioritize safety for themselves and those around them. Ultimately, these soft skills complement their technical proficiency, making welding students well-rounded and adaptable professionals in their field, and also incaptures resume writting and interview training, problem solving, communication and time management.
SOFTSKILLS
Welding students are typically taught a wide range of welding applications to prepare them for various industries and career opportunities. Some common welding applications they may learn include:

SUBJECTS
The JWW Foundation brings together industry leaders, educators, and other stakeholders to collaborate and share best practices in the welding industry.
Together, we host meetings, workshops, and other events to promote knowledge-sharing and collaboration within welding and welding-related industries.

Addressing the skilled worker shortage in the Philadelphia area:
JWWF has launched several initiatives to encourage people of all ages to explore welding or welding related careers, including BluePrint Articulation welding for the youth by the way summer jobs and workshops for men and Women.
The JWWF provides financial support:
JWWF Provides to and from work, schools, and programs throughout Philadelphia and the tri-state area with the sole purpose of enhancing the quality of education and training. JWWF also offers resources and support to educators and trainers to help them better prepare students for the welding industry or related companies.

Removing barriers:
The JWW Foundation is a driving force behind providing access to welding education and certifications for underrepresented groups, by reducing financial, social, and cultural barriers to education, the JWW Foundation has helped expose thousands of people to the welding industry, further addressing the skilled worker shortage.
Promoting Innovation and Safety:
The JWW Foundation promotes safety and innovation in the welding industry to improve welding safety through initiatives with internship programs and partnerships with major organizations such as:
The International Brother of Boilermakers Local, AIRGAS, Steamfitters Local, SEPTA,
Sea Box PTR BALER, HOLTEC, DC FAB, DELVAL Lifecycle Support , Philly Shipyard and L-3 Harris.
